The Adityanath Yogi government has accepted the proposal of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi to run a thousand buses for migrant laborers desirous of returning to their homes in Uttar Pradesh.

In this regard, a letter has been written to Priyanka Gandhi on behalf of Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary Avneesh Awasthi and a list of buses has been asked from her.

In this letter, Awasthi wrote, ‘Priyanka Gandhi’s proposal is accepted. Therefore, do not bother to provide the list of one thousand buses with the name and other details of the driver / operator.

In fact, on May 16, Priyanka Gandhi had tweeted, ‘Today, writing a letter to the UP government has asked for permission to run 1,000 buses from the Congress. Daily accidents, unbearable suffering, inhuman conditions. Our working brothers and sisters and their children are going through a crisis. I have also appealed to the government earlier to please bring buses to the laborers on foot. In today’s day itself 3 horrific accidents have happened. This is not the time to leave the workers alone. Hope there will be a positive response from the Uttar Pradesh government.

On the same day, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav also tweeted a tweet before Priyanka Gandhi. He wrote, ‘The state government should immediately run ten thousand government buses to reach home with dignity and security to the migrant laborers who are forced to walk in vehicles to reach the foot on foot and are losing their lives in accidents. Does the poor have no right?
